Belgian Ambassador highlight the cultural and economic value of Extremadura.
Merida, October 14 .- The Ambassador of Belgium in Spain, Johan Swinnen, during a visit to the region, today pointed out "the historical and cultural significance" of Extremadura, the important socio-economic development and its role in the institutional relations within the nation as the Committee of the Regions of the EU.
The president of the Junta de Extremadura, Guillermo Fernndez Vara,, fallen earth chips, met today in Merida to the EU ambassadors accredited in Madrid who are visiting the region.

Another strength is the economic and social development through a significant potential in the energy sector, the food industry, agriculture, tourism and ecological innovation.
Similarly, the delegation highlighted the role of the Community institutional relations of the country, to send a message of "harmony" and his commitment to "promote consistency Spanish in a wide variety."
A role is also evident in the Committee of the Regions, in which Fernandez Vara represents the Spanish delegation and where, therefore, are represented the interests of Extremadura.
In turn, this has asserted that "Spain is 33 million citizens who do not live in Madrid or Barcelona," which also have their "problems and solutions."
"We have a country girl who is Extremadura, one is larger than Spain and Europe is immense", which, now more than ever, "be strengthened" because, although it is not the solution to all problems if part of it.
The "big change" in the region, in his view, were not the infrastructure but the "culture and education" since before 80 percent of the population were illiterate or had only primary school, whereas now 60 per percent have high school or college.
